300ml of water
200 g unleavened wheat flour
1 teaspoon of salt
sugar to sprinkle
Creamy dulce de leche to taste
1 bar of milk or semisweet chocolate
Method of preparation
First, heat the water with the salt in a large pot.
When it starts to boil, add the wheat flour little by little and stir the mixture until the flour absorbs all the water.
Then remove from heat, fill the pastry bag with the mixture and set aside. If you have a star-shaped beak, they will look better.
Heat a skillet with plenty of oil for frying. When hot, take the pastry bag and squeeze to shape the churro.
When they are golden on both sides, remove them carefully so as not to burn yourself and place them on a paper towel. That way they will be less oily. Your churros should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Before they cool, sprinkle the churros with sugar. If you prefer the taste of chocolate, dip them in the melted chocolate after they are fried, rather than sprinkling with sugar.
Chop the chocolate and microwave it in a small glass bowl to melt.
Place the dulce de leche in another bowl.
And then they are ready. Now just dip your tasty churros in chocolate or dulce de leche and enjoy.
