Ingredients

Pasta 700 g potatoes salt to taste 4 tablespoons of melted butter

First start by preheating the oven to 200°C. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces. Then, in a large pot, cover the potatoes with water and add a generous pinch of salt. Cook until the potatoes are soft.

Squeeze the potatoes with a ricer and then add the butter, milk and cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste and then set aside. Now start preparing the meat. In a large, nonstick skillet over medium heat, heat the oil.

Then add the onion, carrot, garlic and thyme and cook until the carrot is tender. Add the ground beef, season generously with salt and pepper and cook until it loses its pink color. Drain the fat, then add the frozen peas and corn and cook just until heated through, another 3 minutes.

Sprinkle the meat with the wheat flour and mix well. Cook 1 more minute and add the chicken stock. Let it boil until the mixture thickens slightly. Then pour the meat into an ovenproof dish, cover with an even layer of mashed potatoes and bake until there is very little liquid visible and the mashed potatoes are golden brown, approximately 20 minutes.
